Welcome to esp@cenet's latest feature; SmartSearch.
SmartSearch allows you to input familiar search terms such as keyword, inventor name, publication number, etc in any order without you having specify the search field for each term. SmartSearch brings you results from the esp@cenet database of your choice and will show you how it interpreted each search.
This is a BETA version of SmartSearch and we would be very grateful for your feedback so that we can fine-tune SmartSearch to your requirements. Send comments to opus@epo.org
Example : Siemens EP 2007
Explanation: Smart Search will look for Siemens as being the inventor/applicant (first letter in uppercase), for all EP, i.e. European patent applications (2 letters in uppercase for the country code) and 2007 as the publication date (4 digits for the year of publication).
